Japanese Tea Appreciation Workshop
at our academy (Max. 5pax)
Duration: 60 to 90minutes
01.
Tea ceremony explanation. (~5 mins)
02.
Demonstration: how to enter to the tea room. (~5 mins)
03.
Participants enter to the tea room. (~10 mins)
04.
Participants are served sweets. (~5 mins)
05.
Tea demonstration by a tea master, while Norris-sensei provides ongoing commentary.
Two participants will be served tea; Norris-sensei explains drinking etiquette. (~10 mins)
06.
The tea master bows, and continues while participants finish their tea. (~5 mins)
07.
Separate into two groups to make individual tea. (~25 mins)
08.
Closing: explanation of Harmony, Respect, Purity, and Calmness (和敬清寂). (~5 mins)

Choose 2 volunteers from the participants
03.
Tea demonstration by a tea master, while Norris-sensei provides ongoing commentary.
Two volunteers will be served tea; Norris-sensei explains drinking etiquette. (~15 mins)
04.
The tea master bows, and continues while volunteers finish their tea. (~5 mins)
05.
Volunteers and the remaining participants move to a table to make their own tea. (~25 mins)
06.
Closing: explanation of Harmony, Respect, Purity, and Calmness (和敬清寂). (~5 mins)
